|Elemis Cleansing Oil £29.50*|
Last year, I moved from cleansing oils to cleansing balms, and I've pretty much sat there comfortably since. However, here is a cleansing oil that has taken me right back to where I used to be. Its not hugely innovative, but it is free from mineral oils, parabens, etc, and loaded with anti-inflammatory Omega 3 and other natural oils.
It does feel lighter than most oils I've used, so you've got to work quickly, but if you're not a massive fan of the 'slimy' feel of oils, this might be a nice meet-in-the-middle option for you to try.
I massage it over my entire face, and emulsify just a tiny amount before wiping off with a wet flannel or muslin cloth. My number one favourite thing about this oil is how genuinely nourished, and soft my skin feels after using it. My face is prone to drying out after washing so I do have to be careful what I use, but this is perfect for a first and second cleanse for the very reason that it is what it says. Nourishing, and oh-so-gentle.
Sure, it seems expensive, but for the amount received (almost 200ml) I'm pretty sure it'll last absolutely ages, plus, its so much cheaper than the Emma Hardie balm I had been previously using at the same rate. Thanks to the pump, its pretty hard to use more than you really need to, which is something I'm guilty of with the balms I'd been using. It gets super expensive, that way. 100% worth every penny, in my opinion!
