Before and After Wedding Planning // The Hen do and Honeymoon

We were originally looking at places like Florida and Hawai, but we're now looking for something a little different, like Cuba, Bali, or Aruba, near Venezuela in the Caribbean! We're just after white beaches, lots of relaxation, maybe a few spa treatments and a bit of history and culture to explore too. We've entered to win a getaway with Aruba here if you fancy entering too, but let me know if you've been anywhere that might fit our bill! We only discovered Aruba after trying their own aloe products that smell so natural and authentic - Its like leaving Greece with homemade olive oil, except I haven't actually been to Aruba or anything near recently! Unfortunately its a little too early for us to be booking anything for April/May next year, but looking at holidays is so much less stressful than wedding planning, I'm procrastinating happily for now.

The hen do is another 'fun' activity. I had no idea how stressful wedding planning was going to get and I'm already wishing we went for something super simple, or just eloped. Fortunately the hen do is mostly my friend Alice's responsibility, and I trust her not to scare me with strippers. Kind of. We've discussed a few things for far, and we're going for a couple of nights away in a rented house with one night spent indoors with cocktails, and another night 'operation knockout' on the town. Red7 appropriately sent me a box of hen-do goodies with some rules that have been passed on, ha! Head over their Facebook page to caption their 'funniest hen' photos for a chance to win £50 - Some of the photos make me cringe so hard, yikes! I'd love to hear some of your hen-do stories and suggestions? I've never even attended one so I'm clueless!

Anyone else planning their wedding and beyond?

  1. I'd love to go to somewhere like Cuba or Bali but my ultimate honeymoon dream destination would be either Bora Bora or a road trip across America :)

Those photos you've taken are stunning btw, they're really cute! x
