Omorovicza Gold Hydralifting Mask 50ml £110

Rare is the occasion that I come across a product that has me as excited as this one. I only tried it for the first time this morning, and then tried it on Dan, who loved it even more than I did. For that reason, I absolutely cannot wait to share my thoughts on this, because the results were instant, and exciting.

First of all, I noticed the smell. Its definitely one that you'll either love or hate, as it is very rosy. This is a scent I used to absolutely abhor, but over the years I've grown to love its calming quality, so its a thumbs up from me! The mask itself has a thick mousse feel, which still maintains a delicious amount of lightness - It smooths onto the skin like an absolute dream, giving an instant subtle cooling effect that even Dan loves. I sat with it on for the recommended 10 minutes, and it had almost entirely sunk into my dehydrated skin, so I applied more and then wiped off the excess, leaving a smoother, primed and brighter complexion.

The Hydralifting mask was created specifically for tired, dry skin in need of an instant lift, with the added bonus of longer-term strengthening and anti-ageing qualities too. My skin is combination, but gets dehydrated also over the winter. I've been was getting over possibly the worst cold I'd ever had, and this made a noticable difference to my irritated nose and seemingly neglected skin, though my scars are still red. I've had a full face of make up on all day and I haven't felt the need to touch up with powder. At all. Dans skin is the driest skin I've ever seen, (he calls in crusty lizard face) and this soothed redness around his nose and blended away visible dry skin around the area too. Seeing as this seems to have worked for both of us from the very first try, I'd feel confident saying that this would work for pretty much any skin type, though best if you have dry, 'lizard' skin like Dans.

Its so rare to find a skincare product that actually delivers what it promises, and because everyones skin is so different, I guess thats understandable, but its an expensive and annoying process. I do find that Omorovicza's Gold Hydralifting Mask manages to smooth out the skin perfectly, helping to eradicate any bumpy dry areas. I know £110 for a mask is ridiculous, but then I considered the cost of a facial, and actually, just one application of this mask left my skin feeling and looking better afterwards than any facial ever had. And, this has pretty much changed my boyfriends 'crusty lizard' skin. Plus, a small 20p sized amount is needed per application  and less make-up (and no primer) is required afterwards, as it glides on and spreads like nothing I've experienced.

If you are looking for a softening, pick-me-up mask for your tired and, then you really ned to try this one. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, you would like Clarins Flash Balm, which I also love, but in all honestly I prefer this as a primer, and its effects don't even come close! I'd recommend keeping your eye out on WIMH - They've recently offered samples, and they might do again soon - Either way, you NEED to try this instant-result flash mask. I might even go as far to say I'd buy this again, eek!

Have you tried this?
Would you consider forking out?

  1. I've just received a sample of this from WIMH (although it is just a once use sachet so not sure if I'll be able to really see the difference). After reading this, I am so excited about trying it out, but at the same time, hoping I don't love it! At £110, as a full time student, that is almost two weeks worth of wages, so I'll have to search for a cheaper alternative as my car needs petrol and I need food for my fridge!

  2. I've got a sample of a cleanser in my stash from this brand. Sounds like they produce some fab products so I'll have to get that out and give it a go!

  3. the mask does sound amazing and I would love to try it but I can't justify it at that price. However if a little goes a long way, and you don't have to buy a separate primer......who knows?! After all you wear your face every day!!
