Orange and Ginger Shower Gel £12*
Orange and Ginger Body Milk £12*
Propoline Shampoo for Thinning Hair £13*
The dispenser head is so easy to use, and for that reason this is the body lotion that I've been reaching for recently. Contains olive and almond oil as well as shea butter with a view to preserve skin elasticity as well as the soft skin you'd rightfully expect from a body lotion. Together with the orange oil, which apparently detoxifies the skin, and ginger, improving blood circulation, I guess thats why this range is known as body energy. That, with the uplifting spicy scent, makes perfect sense. My favourite ingredient though, is Propolis. Propolis is an ingredient I discovered early on in the year, and its made such a difference to the redness in my skin, so anything with this in I'm practically diving into.
Whilst the shower gel has the same uplifting and energising zesty scent (perfect for morning showers) the smell doesn't really linger for long enough afterwards. And although it boasts the same natural ingredients, it doesn't make sense to me to rinse it all off again moments later - Do those moments really have much chance to bring a benefit? For that reason I'll probably give this a miss unless it was on offer, whilst I'd definitely repurchase the body milk.
I've also been trying Propoline shampoo, to help with thinning hair; a problem I've spent close to hundreds battling this year. This shampoo contains calming Neroli and my favourite soothing Propolis, but is also contains SLS, which confuses me somewhat. Earlier on in the year, with the help of Twitter folk, I identified Sodium Laureth Sulfate as a potential culprit of my hair loss and thinning problem. Its used to help products foam, but is also a known irritant - So I'd expect this to be the last ingredient in a shampoo of this nature, really! Saying that, it does seem pretty gentle on my hair, leaves it shiny, and has a whole bunch of strengthening and otherwise gentle ingredients. I've not seen any major difference in thickness yet - Definitely one to keep you updated on!
So there we have it - My first time with the greek brand Apivita, and all in all a pretty positive one and the discovery of at least one product I've fallen for. In future I'll be picking up their facial skin serum and a few of the lip balms from Marks & Spencers - They look so good!
