Rouge in Love '232M Rose'Mantic' £21*
Gloss in Love '341 Pink Pampille' £20*
Lancome has always been my favourite make up brand. I have love affairs with other brands, but always come back to Lancome when I need a product I can fall back on, take the Teint Idole Ultra foundation for example, the Doll Eyes mascara, or their lipglosses. Over the last couple of years though, things seemed to have slowed down a little and I've been cheating on Lancome a little more than usual. Until recently that is, with the new Advanced Genifique, Visionnaire foundation, the upcoming Alber Elbaz collection, and this younger, more playful range. Rouge in Love has been updated, along with the new Gloss in Love. Yep, I want it all.
The Gloss in Love lipgloss. I'll start with the packaging. Instead of a twist top, simply press the button and the applicator will pop up with an addictive click. Loving the click sound, I find myself having to do this a fair few times before actually removing the applicator. I'm weird, I know. Anyway, the applicator is a shape I've never seen before. As you can see in the pictures above, its curved to hug the lower lip on one side, and pointed for a high-precision application on the other. At first, I thought this was a bit of a gimmick, but actually it really helps, and I imagine with a darker shade this would be even more appreciated. The finish is sheer with a tint, it glides over any dry spots, and the initial glossiness dies down after an hour or two.
The lipstick is a little different from the other Lancome ranges. Not only because of the more compact and cute silver packaging, which I'm glad to see, but its the most moisturising formula I've tried, with a glossy finish. Its definitely expensive, but as its ultra pigmented and long lasting, I know it'll last ages. I haven't worn a light pink for a long time, but I adore this candy coloured pink.
