Nars Satin Lip Pencil in 'Palais Royal' £17.50

I first saw this on the Nars counter assistant whilst treating myself to a new blush. Dan agreed it looked amazing on her, and encouraged me to try it. She overheard him and joined in with the encouragement whilst I adamently refused, and insisted that it really wouldn't suit me. 10 seconds later though, I found myself perched on her stool whilst having this applied  to my lips -  Dan all the while giving approving nods over her shoulder. Then of course, I fell in love and insisted that she give it to me quick, knowing full well that this never would've suited me when I had blonde hair. Unfortunately, it wasn't in stock but I managed to pick one up online from ASOS!

Although I love this, I have to admit that its not the best formula in the world. It has its ups and downs. Although its silky smooth and easy to apply, it takes good few swipes to build up a perfect even colour. And although the colour lasts absolutely ages going from glossy to matte after an hour or so, it does tend to bleed a little, particularly around my cupids bow. After the first couple of times wearing this, I put a stop to bleeding, by wearing a lip liner, and that worked quite well, leaving me free to wear and love a true deep plum shade.

Have you tried any of the Nars satin pencils?
