Maxitone Mission // Sculptress

Shakes - £24.99*
12 Bars - £23.99*

You might remember my recent willingness to lose a little bit of weight. Thanks to PCOS, I've really struggled to lose the extra weight I've gained though have found things like Skinny Sprinkles to be a lot of help keeping my sweet tooth cravings at bay - Which is more than likely the biggest reason for my weight gain! Recently though, I've been trying something new. Maxitone Sculptress, a highly nutritious, protein based meal replacement plan.

Now, this isn't a complete meal replacement as its still okay to eat a balanced meal at the end of the day (something to look forward to)! I've been eating the bars for breakfast as they fit in with my rushed 6am mornings and a daily long commute to University. Its the shakes I'm struggling with. When I'm away from home during the day its obviously difficult, and I've been unable to find a shake flask small enough to take a pre-made one. When I do have the shakes though, they're not enough for a total meal replacement but do curb the hunger pangs, and I can usually get by comfortably with a healthy lunch rather than devouring the quickest thing I can get my mitts on! The strawberry flavour is divine, but I just don't get on with the chocolate flavour. Though, if you like the taste of uncooked chocolate cake batter, you'll love this!
I was also expecting the bars to taste pretty strange, and admittedly the texture did initially put me off, and I don't think they taste of caramel but strangely, I really love them now, and they're so much more filling than you'd ever imagine.

I must admit that my routine is killing me at the moment and its difficult to fit much exercise in, but I've been trying to follow the 30 day shred every so often (always a winner). But, I don't know how, but my size 14 jeans are looser and I've been asked a couple of times if I've lost weight, even though I've only lost 2lb in the last 2-3 weeks. From now onwards, I'll be doing it properly and keeping you updated - Taking body measurements, using my new fancy abs machine and forcing myself to fight the lethargy and exercise more alongside munching on the shakes and bars, all in an effort to start 2013 back in my size 12 jeans!

Has anyone else tried this plan? Any tips for success?
I'll let you know how it goes!

  1. I DEPERATELY need to do some exercise/lose some extra lbs! Shame I don't eat fruit or veg! - pretty sure that would help the process along instead of eating rubbish!

I'm trying to go to the gym more often and this week have started to follow the Blogilates videos on youtube. There is a print off calendar which tells you which videos to do each day (you can either do all or some of them) tying my best to do at least 2 of them each day...apart from yesterday.. Lets pretend I didnt have that Dominos pizza.....
