Christmas Gifts & Sales Haul

Being the nosey parker that I am - I love seeing what everyone has received for Christmas, so I thought I'd share what I unwrapped on Christmas morning. I had a lovely day, it was quite chilled out, and I definitely resembled santa at the end of the day, wearing my velvet playsuit, bloated belly protruding. Its all part of the fun, right?

I got an unexpected gift from my uncle - which included a jewellery box that belonged to my late aunt, with lots of her jewellery and some that belonged to my nan who died before I was even born. I love inheriting her jewellery. Although I never met her I still feel like I've loved her over the years with the stories I've heard, and wearing her jewellery makes me feel like I knew her somehow. My favourite pieces were a bangle and a gorgeous necklace. Look how sparkly the necklace is in the second picture, its a dream.
Dan treated me and bought me a Mulberry purse. I knew it was coming because he was terrified of choosing the wrong one and actually asked me which one I wanted before Christmas. It smells divine, it feels buttery soft and it looks amazing. Definitely in love. He also bought me Jimmy Choo perfume, two cuddly toys 'cause I'm a kid at heart, and a laptop tray.
My best friend knows me well, Nandos and chai tea - two of my most loved things. I also got a few gift cards (to be spent in the sale of course) some smellies from my lovely bro, chocolates, shoes from my mum and a few other  cute stocking fillers apparently from Amber, my dog! Anyone elses parents do this?

And this is what I picked up in the sale. I wouldn't say they're too great this year (alongside a £16 Mango dress I forgot to photograph), but I am super pleased with what I did get. House of Fraser always knock 50% off selected beauty products - I got these Guerlain meteorites for £18, and gorgeous Guerlain & Lancome lip glosses for £9 each. From Topshop I picked up these simple black shoes for £30 - Not such a huge saving but they're perfect, I've been looking for a new pair of perfect black shoes for an age. I also got some half price Lush, a Next candle (these are amazing by the way) and from Boots I got half price Soap & Glory goodies and an illuminated mirror. SpaceNK have also got some amazing deals, I got this Laura Mercier palette for £8.50(!) and this Shu Uemura foundation for £10 (Free delivery code: SNKHARR).

What did you get for Christmas this year?
Have you found any amazing sales items?

S xx

    1. The problem with the lush is that it all goes so quick!! And the boxes aren't labelled (I wish they'd do that) so you have to figure it all out yourself, pah!! xx

  2. Looks like you got some really good presents! I inherited a necklace from my nan when I was little and I love it so much. She told me how she saved up to buy it for her mum when she was little and had it hand made. I agree that the sales aren't too great this year! All I bought was a jumper from Zara :')

  5. I love what you got, especially the jewellry and box, very sweet.

I got lots of different things.. a new camera, a French Connection coat, sewing book, cupcake book, recipe file, filofax, nail kit and smellies, socks etc... I was spoilt this year :-)

I agree that the sales are not the best this year. I might go try get me one of those Next candles, absolute bargain and I am contemplating the Shu Uemura foundation you linked (thanks for that!)

    1. Noooo just the soap and hand cream, was only £5 and I had one last year, smells AMAZING. Haha I bought the stocking myself when I worked at Mothercare, it was reduced to like 90% off and it was so soft and snuggly I just couldn't leave it there!! My mum has always got me stuff from our pets though, always little silly stuff like socks, so cute!! xx
