Barry M Moisturising Lip Paint // Cranberry Red

Barry M Moisturising Lip Paint - Cranberry Red £4.49

What with the new hair, I've decided to try a change of make up too. I'm usually a sucker for bright pinks and dark nude pinks, and very rarely go for red. Especially a dark, plummy red. I've been seeing it around so much though, that I decided to take the plunge, grab a bargain, and see if my 'new hair' might help me pull such a shade off.
Here, it looks like a very true, 'blue' red - It wasn't half as 'plum' as I'd expected it to be, but its definitely much darker than any other red lipstick I own, and I do love it. I'd say its suited for those who want to nod their head towards the trend but are a little shy about doing so - Like myself!

This is the first lipstick I've bought from Barry M after discovering them a few years ago and deciding that they were far too drying for my lips, but decided to give this 'moisturising' formula a go. This has definitely improved somewhat and the lasting power is pretty decent. My flaky lips still need prior exfoliation and lip balm though to stop this colour looking gross!
The packaging has improved too, I love the bright colour!

Whats the darkest you dare go?
OH, and this is my new hair :D

  2. I had the same problem with the original barry m lipsticks, i bought one of these in violet and its fades to a lovely berry pink colour. I keep meaning to pick up some more. This colour looks lovely on you! xx

  3. We don't have Barry M here in Canada - yet! - but I never knew they had a moisturizing lipstick line! I had one from the normal line called 'Baby Pink' (if i'm right) and OMG, it applied horribly and it was sooooo drying!

  4. Your hair looks so lovely! Im with you on the whole, avoiding the Barry M lipsticks because of them being too dry.. although my most used barry m one is 101 - the grossest colour ever...to think I used to walk around wearing that full on over my lips. Urgh! - Back in the day when everyone loved a nude lip!

    1. Ohhh thank you! I'm super pleased with it even if its fading so much already haha!! This one is alright, not sure why they're so dry usually though, try one of the 'moisture' ones!! I never loved a nude lip, looked so gross on me!! xx
