                                                                                                                             Balmi Lip Balm £4.99

After spotting the Balmi lip balms on a couple of blogs, my hunt for the spherical lip balms began. I've always been aware of the domed EOS lipbalms but have never tried them as they're so difficult to get hold of in the UK!

I picked up Mint, Raspberry, Strawberry and Coconut, though Blackcurrant is also available, but was not stocked in my local Boots! I couldn't choose which one to get, so naturally, I solved that problem by choosing all of them! They're £4.99 each and currently part of a 3 for 2 offer at Boots, so I got the four lip balms for £15.

First impression is good -
The silicone dome feels almost flocked to the touch, much like Nars packaging, and is nicely coloured in accordance to its corresponding flavour.
The flavours are pleasant, subtle, and not overly synthetic. My favourite is definitely Coconut, followed closely by Strawberry, though I'm also dying to try Blackcurrant!

This lip balm itself is not only fuss-free and easy to apply, it also really smooth - It's the kind of lipbalm you'll find yourself gliding over and over with, totally unnecessarily, just because it feels so soft on your lips (Or am I the only weirdo who does this)?
To my joy, on application it smooths over any imperfections. I find that some lip balms cling to dry skin and highlight it rather than solving the problem, and just look messy, so this is an important factor for me!
I do think that the lip balm could be described as fairly greasy, but all in all, the Balmi is extremely moisturising and leaves lips feeling supple long after the product itself has actually worn off after around an hour.

As I tend to lose my usual favourite Burts Bee's sticks more often than I can replace them, I quite liked the idea of a loop to attach the lipbalm to my keys. However, this was an idea soon stumped as the bottom fell off, revealing product beneath it. Therefore, I'll be removing the loops to avoid losing the lipbalm altogether!

Apparently more limited edition flavours will be released around Halloween and Christmas - Which is not good for my 'lip balm enthusiast' self, but the thought of a spiced apple/cinnamon type flavour is pleasing me immensely, yum!
Have you got your hands on these yet?
What do you think of them?

  12. Buy Buddha Balm (online) and you wont use Balmi or EOS ever again. Buddha Balm is more flavorful and not gimmicky like these others.

  14. I picked one up this morning. So far, I am really loving it. So smooth and soft and my lips already feel better. Aside from that, I love that you don't have to dip your fingers in the pot.
After trying to decide between the coconut and the blackcurrant, I chose the blackcurrant...so yummy!
