Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer spf 20 // Oil Free 'Nude'

As my skin begins to improve, I find myself on a quest for lighter coverage, especially with my holiday coming up, where I usually feel like I still need coverage but don't fancy wearing foundation on the beach. As my usual Lancome tinted moisturiser ran low, I decided to try a different tinted moisturiser by Laura Mercier - A brand I have grown to love after discovering my favourite illuminator.

The moisturiser boasts a flawless coverage, which is what drew me to it as well as the oil free status - Which will surely only fare well with my oily skin and the sun!  The first thing I noticed was how thick and creamy it was compared to other moisturisers I've tried, and in every way, its more like a lightweight foundation rather than a tinted moisturiser.

I'm so pleased with the coverage that I've actually worn this instead of foundation already. It doesn't cover my pigmentation completely, but conceals them to a level I'm more than comfortable with.  A dewy, natural finish is achieved too. It really looks like I have absolutely no make up on, which is borderline exhilarating. Although it does also tend to slide after a full day, I was expecting this anyway, and it does feel a little tacky.  However, I find that this can be tackled to some extent by applying the tinted moisturiser like a foundation, for me, with the Real Techniques buffing brush or a stippling brush.

£33 had me taking a sharp intake of breath at the till point - But really, I'm happy with tis product and I will most definitely be buying this again - Especially if it holds up in Greek weather!

And here is what it looks like as a base - What do you think?

Whats your favourite tinted moisturiser?

    1. I totally agree, the foundation costs $55-60 per tube in Canada and it's so heart-wrenching to pull out that much money on a foundation! I like the coverage as well, and I like the fact that you only need a tiny amount of the product!

  3. I actually don't think I own a tinted moisturiser! But this sounds really appealing. I want to try a NARS one :) xo

  4. It looks really lovely. I have been after a good TM for a while now and have tried samples of Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint and Estee Lauder Invisible Makeup, both of which I loved and hope to purchase soon. I now feel like giving this one a go before I do though, so that I can make sure I get the best one. The price is a bit steep though - it must be good if you deem it worth the money, which makes me think I definitely need to give it a go!

    1. I do love LE Skin Tint but it doesn't give enough coverage for me - This one is definitely worth a go, there are so many colours to choose from too! The price is VERY steep, but I'll be paying it again! x

  6. It looks great! I used to use Stila's tinted moisturiser because it was the only thing pale enough for my skin, and it's also oil free :) xx

  11. Hi thank you for your review. Did it hold in the weather? I am looking for a tinted moisturiser that will hold in hot weather as I am travelling to Thailand soon.
