What I Wore // The issue of bad customer service.

Shirt - Primark
Shorts - Next
Boots - Topshop
Tights - New Look
Ring - Warehouse
Bra - Gossard

I threw this outfit on to meet my best friends friends for a festive meal and drinks at one of my favourite restaurants. I absolutely love this sheer shirt!
Unfortunately, it was absolutely the worst Christmas meal I'd ever eaten! The bill came to around £150, and after politely letting them know how tough and dry the turkey was, how freezing cold the whole meal was, and how we were overcharged for the wine, had just £40 reimbursed. I'll be giving the voucher to my parents and won't be going there again. (And funnily enough, I have JUST received an offer email from them - No thanks)!

I'm a firm believer in service and quality, a la Mary Portas. The price you're paying in shops includes just that. If I don't receive it, I'll walk straight out and get the product elsewhere, or not at all, no matter how much I want it; I'll get over it. I'm looking directly at Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown and especially Clarins, here. (Make up counters seem to be the worst for this)!
The worst service I ever had, however, was in Comet whilst trying to return a 3 day old faulty camera, and refusing to have it sent off for repair. The manager of the store, surrounded by employees called me a child, and exclaimed that those babies who stomp their feet and scream don't get. I'll never do it again, but I rose to the personal child comment, embarrassed him in front of his team whose laughter was stifled, and promptly walked out with my mum laughing by my side. Oops!

Whats the worst service you've ever received?

  1. oh my goodness Comet and PC world are terrible - staff often have no clue regarding products either. I asked about the new quad core Asus tablet and I basically got accused of making it up and that it didn't exist! x

  3. Haha! I have had such awful customer service from PC World. Funny thing is, my boyfriend works in IT... he asked a few basic questions that even I know the answers to in PC World and they couldn't give the answer! Same with Pets At Home, I saw a girl ask a lady at the desk about a guinea pig: 'is that a rex?' (a breed of guinea pig), and the lady answers somewhat disdainfully 'No, that's a guinea pig'. I really do despair of these huge companies who are supposedly there to 'help us'! Love the shirt by the way! xx
