Winter Skin Treat // Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate

I've been trying desperately to calm down my hormone induced acne over the last few months, and I've been finally getting somewhere using mainly a range of products specifically for acne. I want to trial everything for a while longer before blogging about the range, but will share the results either way when the time comes.

However, I have been left with red scars that just will not budge, so I was very interested when Liz Earle offered to send me their Superskin Concentrate. I noticed Neroli high up in the ingredients list, a natural plan oil that is meritoriously helpful for scars and redness, as well as Vitamin E which is known for the same reasons. I could've been skeptical about putting oil on my oily skin, but those ingredients won me over.

This is a very rich serum, absolutely jam packed with natural nutrients and an almost overpowering aroma which is instantly relaxing. I find this oil too much to use every night on my oily skin, but love using it every other night, and occasionally layered over the top of Lancomes Genifique and finished with moisturiser for an overnight intense moisture hit.

I sometimes find that if I'm lacking in sleep, or am particularly stressed, my skin seems even more red. As well as this the bitter cold confuses my oily skin an brings flakiness around the nose, (confusing)? I'm sure that this combination calms the problem down gently overnight.

Its not the cheapest of skincare products at £38.75, but I'd be lying if I said I haven't spent more on other skincare products before. Plus, its so rich that only the tiniest amount is required to spread across the whole face and d├ęcolletage.

Have you tried this or any other serums?

  1. My Mum is a huge fan of Liz Earle products, due to the range being made up of natural ingredients. She said it has left her skin glowing, soft and feeling great; and i must admit for a 48yr old she looks amazing. I have personally, also suffered form acne for years. It is ALOT better now however-I am using Cliniques balancing range-around about £70 for the wash, cleanser, moisturiser and foundation-have i noticed the difference-as of yet no...But i have noticed the gallons of water really does help :D

Ill keep you updated Sarah Xxxx
